Students, faculty providing COVID outreach to Latino population

WUSM medical students took action after researching and finding that coronavirus information is not available in Spanish on COVID-19 hotlines or on local government and health department websites. Students and faculty are partnering with community leaders to expand COVID-19-related outreach, educate the region’s Spanish-speaking communities and dispel coronavirus misinformation.

Besides Spanish, students and faculty who speak Arabic and Bosnian also have mobilized to address language barriers.
