The School of Medicine’s “alternate operations” policy announced on March 23, which enabled many employees to telecommute, remains in effect until further notice. The medical school continues to follow the stay-at-home orders issued by the City of St. Louis. Only employees who are required to perform essential work that demands a physical presence on campus should report to their regular workplace. However, employees who have been contacted by their supervisor to return to work on the campus should do so. The university continues to review its policies and will determine its next steps and timelines for potentially returning to normal operations.
