Non-remote workers and trainees
By November 20, Washington University employees, including faculty, staff and trainees, not working 100% remotely must receive and record receipt of this year’s influenza vaccination or be granted an exemption for medical reasons or religious beliefs. Students and contractors have a similar requirement.
Employees in clinical departments should get flu shots within their own departments. Those in non-clinical departments are welcome to attend vaccination events Oct. 5-22 in the Eric P. Newman Education Center. Registration is required.
Employees who are required to receive a vaccine must document their vaccination in the new flu vaccine portal by November 20. If you obtain a flu vaccine at one of the Medical Campus onsite events, your vaccine is automatically recorded in ReadySet.

- Nov. 9: 8 a.m.–12 p.m.
- Nov. 11: 12–3:30 p.m.
High-dose and single-dose vaccines are available. Appointments are required. Follow the directions below.

Those who are working 100% remotely are strongly encouraged to get a flu vaccine through their private care practitioner or preferred pharmacy to protect themselves and their families. Flu vaccination is required should you return to campus through March 31. You are strongly encouraged to document receipt of your vaccination in the new flu vaccine portal.
This vaccine is covered by the university’s health plan. For those without WashU health insurance, the university has agreements with Walgreens and other local retailers to ensure employees can conveniently get a free flu vaccine. Onsite flu vaccine events will be held for those working on campus.
