WashU Med physician now leading St. Louis regional pandemic task force

With the steady increase in COVID-19 infections across the region, the St. Louis Metropolitan Pandemic Task Force is returning to regular weekly virtual press briefings, in addition to online weekday status reports. The briefings will now be led by Clay Dunagan, MD, MS, an infectious disease expert at WashU Med and BJC HealthCare’s chief clinical officer. In addition to serving as the public face of the pandemic response in the greater St. Louis area, Dunagan will oversee the sharing of best practices, data and resources among the area’s major health systems. His first briefing takes place July 15.
