WashU, St. Louis County collaborate on COVID-19 survey

The university’s Institute for Public Health, the St. Louis County Department of Public Health and other collaborators are conducting a survey of 5,000 St. Louis County residents and offering COVID-19 testing to gauge the prevalence of and risk factors for the illness.

“The information they provide and the testing will be vital in helping us understand the impact of the pandemic in our region,” said William Powderly, MD, director of the Institute for Public Health and co-director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the School of Medicine. “We won’t know the extent of COVID-19 cases in the region without testing a random sample of the population.”
